Radio Boudoir

Just over a week ago whilst twittering away, I found local radio station presenter Frances Finn. I followed their shows blog and never thought any more about it.

So next day surprise as a call from BBC radio Nottingham asking if I would like to go on the show to talk about Boudoir photography. So today was the day, I was nervous even though I knew I shouldn't be, sometimes you just cant help it.

Its one of those possible nightmare scenarios where you dream you are going to go all Father Jack on the proceedings and only be able to shout the word pants over and over again, until you wake up in a cold sweat and realise it was just a dream.

It went very quickly, after taking an hour to get into the city, we waited (we being myself and mum, who really really wanted to see the studio, and put across the argument that she was older than anyone else there for should get to go!)

Everyone was lovely, listened to the previous guests then in we go, it went so fast, I think I did OK, hate listening to my own voice, I sound far more Derbyshire than I do in my own head.

If you are interested, its available on the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p001ymv2 18/05/09 at around 48 minutes. A bit before that Frances asks, am I Nottingham's answer to Gok Wan, of course .......

It will be available to listen to for 7 days.

Well back to the real world now.

  1. Great interview Helen - you came across really well and very relaxed, I would never had guessed that you were nervous. You should be very proud of yourself!
